About the Role
The Vice President, Field Development, plays a pivotal role in driving the organization’s fundraising success at the local level. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, this leader is responsible for the overall strategy and total revenue raised in the field, overseeing the tools, resources, and guidance needed to empower regional fundraisers to build strong pipelines of local corporate and foundation partners. With deep expertise as a fundraising generalist, the VP provides strategic direction and hands-on support across multiple revenue streams, including corporate partnerships, third-party events, and foundation engagement. This includes developing high-impact fundraising materials—such as stewardship assets, toolkits, and corporate campaign templates—and ensuring regional teams have the knowledge and training to maximize local opportunities while honoring partner rights and benefits. The VP also serves as a strategic advisor to regional staff, guiding proposal development and cultivating strategies that deepen relationships with donors and corporate partners. Collaborating closely with national Individual Giving, Direct Response, and Corporate/Foundation teams, they translate the national fundraising strategy into local activations and maintain partner agreement templates, establish best practices for tracking and reporting local fundraising activity, and ensure all secured contributions are accurately recorded. They monitor the local fundraising pipeline, deliver timely insights to leadership and the CRO, and play a key role in planning and executing donor councils and other stakeholder engagement opportunities.
