About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel/Associate General Counsel with a focus on corporate and commercial law to join their team. The successful candidate will be a licensed in-house attorney with a J.D. from an accredited law school and at least 7 years of experience, particularly in corporate securities. The role involves providing proactive and strategic legal guidance to business leaders, managing public company governance matters, and overseeing a range of commercial activities, including the preparation and negotiation of various contracts. The ideal candidate will be a flexible and agile problem solver, with a strong ability to balance legal and business risk, and possess excellent communication skills to interact with both junior staff and senior leaders.
Key responsibilities for this position include assisting the company in all public company governance matters, managing equity transactions, and partnering with different functional groups on legal and commercial transactional work. The role also requires the development and implementation of legal operations, as well as leading special projects and initiatives. While not mandatory, knowledge of FDA, FTC, healthcare/medical device laws, and data privacy regulations is a plus. The candidate should be self-motivated, capable of working with minimal direction, and have a good sense of humor with a genuine interest in relationship building. Experience with key software platforms such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and others is preferred.
