About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) with a focus on behavioral health. The CNO will be a visionary leader, responsible for the clinical integrity, operational efficiency, and financial health of the nursing department. This role involves setting the strategic vision for nursing practice, ensuring the delivery of safe and patient-centered care, and mentoring the next generation of behavioral health leaders. The successful candidate will also be tasked with organizing and reviewing policies to meet regulatory and quality care standards, managing nursing resources effectively, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to meet the diverse needs of residents.
Candidates for the CNO position must have a strict requirement of direct behavioral health RN experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting. An active RN license in the state of Louisiana is essential, with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required and a Master’s degree strongly preferred. A minimum of 6 years of RN experience, including at least 2 years in inpatient behavioral health, is necessary, along with a minimum of 3 years of progressive nursing management or administrative leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in a freestanding psychiatric hospital and prior experience as a CNO or Director of Nursing. The role demands a leader who can anticipate and manage changes in patient care, allocate resources effectively, and ensure the financial and operational efficiency of the nursing department.
