About the Role
The Company is in search of a Deputy Executive Director and Strategy Officer to join their team. This inaugural executive leadership role is pivotal in providing high-level support to the Executive Director, driving strategic alignment, and ensuring operational excellence. The successful candidate will be a strategic advisor and trusted partner, overseeing the day-to-day management of the Executive Department and guiding the implementation of the organization's strategic vision. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, operational excellence, and cross-functional integration, with a focus on achieving the mission of protecting and promoting the civil liberties and rights of all individuals.
The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to the advancement of civil liberties and civil rights, as well as a proven track record in strategic leadership, project management, and integrated policy advocacy. They should be adept at fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and have the ability to engage with staff to enhance their well-being and performance. The role requires superior communication, interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence, as well as the ability to act as an executive partner and counsel. A Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of management experience are required, with a preference for candidates holding an advanced degree and those with experience in a unionized environment.
