About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Real Estate Attorney to join their Legal & Compliance Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing internal client coverage of the Corporate Real Estate group, with a focus on all legal matters related to the firm's extensive real estate portfolio in the United States. This includes transactional and advisory legal support for owned, operated, and leased properties, as well as assistance with the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of real estate leasing transactions. The role also involves advising on regulatory issues, instructing external counsel, and supporting the real estate components of corporate transactions.
Applicants must have a JD with 4-8 years' of experience in transactional real estate, including commercial leasing. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills, and be adept at managing a diverse and complex workload. A pragmatic and commercial-minded approach, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment, is essential. The role requires a proactive self-starter who can confidently assess and advise on legal risks, and who is also collaborative and personable, with the ability to build positive client relationships.
