About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President to join its Impact Team, a group dedicated to driving change through strategic communications in areas such as health equity, workers' rights, racial and economic justice, gender justice, and environmental justice. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading strategic conversations, managing account teams, and overseeing the development of integrated campaigns that utilize a range of tactics to achieve client goals. This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 6 years' experience in relevant fields, including political campaigns, government, strategic communications, media relations, advocacy, journalism, or a related area. The Vice President will be expected to have a strong news sense, a commitment to social justice, and the ability to engage with the media on both rapid response and long-lead stories.

Key responsibilities for the Vice President include directly managing and mentoring staff, collaborating with the management team to inspire innovation, and contributing to business development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining strong relationships with key reporters, a deep understanding of organizing and advocacy communications, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Essential skills for this role include strong written and oral communication, the ability to manage high-profile principals, and a personal commitment to social justice.
