About the Role

The Head of Global Trading will be responsible for leading the development, enhancement, and execution of the firm’s trading capabilities across global markets — driving a cohesive strategy for trade execution, automation, and operational efficiency. You’ll design and implement advanced trading solutions, oversee trade execution across multiple asset classes with precision and scalability, and manage relationships with brokers, counterparties, and key external partners to ensure best execution and competitive access to liquidity. In this role you will also provide strategic oversight of treasury operations including liquidity management, funding activities, stock lending, repo and FX, and collaborate with portfolio teams to optimize trading and tax outcomes. Monitoring global market structure and regulatory requirements will be vital to ensure compliance and risk-aware execution, while working closely with cross-functional teams to embed data-driven insights and continuous process improvements.

Candidates should have a strong track record of leadership in global trading environments, ideally with experience developing and automating trading systems in multi-asset or global markets. Deep knowledge of trading infrastructure, execution workflows, financial instruments (including cash, stock loans, repo, and foreign exchange), and treasury/funding dynamics is essential. Advanced technical skills and proficiency with algorithmic trading tools, automation platforms, and data analytics are highly valuable, along with the ability to interpret and respond to complex regulatory regimes across different jurisdictions. Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and relationship-management skills are required to lead internal teams, cultivate external partnerships, and align trading operations with broader business objectives.
