Intellectual Property Litigation Secretary
Established San Francisco law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Secretary to support their growing practice. This role requires an experienced individual with a deep understanding of litigation processes and filing procedures across multiple patent venues. Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys specializing in Intellectual Property litigation.
- Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and patent filings.
- File legal documents in various patent venues, such as NDCal, CDCal, WDTex, EDTex, and DDel, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Maintain organized case files and track deadlines to ensure timely submissions.
- Handle time entries and billing processes with attention to detail.
- Liaise with clients and external parties to facilitate communication and case progress.
- Conduct research and gather information relevant to ongoing cases.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including notary public services and document management.
- Support partners in building and expanding their Intellectual Property practice.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in Intellectual Property litigation.
- Familiarity with filing procedures in patent venues such as NDCal, CDCal, WDTex, EDTex, and DDel.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills to ensure accuracy in legal documents.
- Proficiency in managing time entries and billing systems.
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Notary Public certification is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
