We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to lead and shape a brand-new academic Gastroenterology division as the Chief of GI at a prominent, system-affiliated healthcare institution in southern New Jersey .

Position Overview:As Chief of Gastroenterology , you will:
Build and lead a new GI division focused on clinical excellence, innovation, and academic advancement
Recruit and mentor physicians, fellows, and clinical staff
Work in a dual inpatient and outpatient setting with access to advanced GI tools and support
Shape medical education through collaboration with a new medical school
Oversee complex GI care and expand procedural services , including advanced endoscopy
Collaborate with system leadership to grow the GI service line across multiple counties
Set the tone for quality, culture, and clinical standards across the GI program
MD or DO with Board Certification in Gastroenterology Required
Active New Jersey medical license or ability to obtain before start
Current BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CSR/CDS certifications (or willing to obtain)
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience
Prior leadership or program-building experience preferred
Willing to comply with COVID and Flu vaccination requirements
Base Salary: $521,850 $823,584
Annual Bonus Potential tied to leadership and clinical performance
$3,000+ in CME allowance and paid CME days
