Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contracted Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for a middle school setting serving grades 4 through 7. This position is designed to support students with special needs, providing tailored instruction that promotes academic and social development. The role requires dedication to creating inclusive learning environments that address diverse learning styles and individual goals. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Special Education Teacher certification or licensure Experience teaching special education, preferably at the middle school level (grades 4-7) Strong knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and related compliance requirements Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student Excellent communication skills for collaboration with parents, staff, and specialists Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive classroom environment Location: Middle school setting in Waltham, Massachusetts Responsibilities: Develop and implement specialized instructional plans aligned with student IEPs Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to integrate students effectively Participate in meetings regarding student performance and program development Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging learning atmosphere Contract Details: School year duration (CSY) contract This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on middle school students educational journeys by providing essential special education support.
