Inpatient Pharmacists
for
day and evening shift
opportunities within a hospital inpatient setting in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania . This role is open to
Full-Time, Contract, or Temp-to-Hire
candidates, and we are considering both
local pharmacists and travelers
with inpatient experience. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital environment where pharmacists play a critical role in medication safety, clinical review, and patient care coordination. Position Overview The Inpatient Pharmacist is responsible for reviewing and dispensing medication orders while ensuring safe, effective, and appropriate medication therapy. Youll collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the broader interdisciplinary care team, contributing to clinical decision-making and discharge planning. Key Responsibilities Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, dosing, frequency, and route
Evaluate patient allergies, medical history, lab values, and potential drug interactions
Dispense medications in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare team members
Supervise pharmacy technicians and students to ensure safe and accurate medication preparation
Assist with inventory management and medication control activities
Collaborate with the healthcare team on continuity of care and discharge planning
Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
Minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience or equivalent APPE experience in a hospital/clinical setting
Strong clinical judgment and knowledge of inpatient medication-use processes
