Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support high school students in a skills-based classroom focused on life skills and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This full-time contract position starts ASAP and continues through June 5th. The assignment is located near Lake Ariel, PA, providing an engaging environment to make a significant impact on student development. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction and support for 15 students in life skills and ASD classrooms Develop and implement tailored educational plans to meet the diverse needs of students with special needs Collaborate with staff and families to promote student growth and achievement Utilize behavior management techniques and data collection to enhance learning outcomes Foster an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student independence Qualifications & Experience: Valid Special Education teaching certification for high school Proven experience working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Strong background in life skills instruction and curriculum adaptation Ability to manage classroom dynamics and support students with varying needs Excellent communication and teamwork skills Location: Position is based at a high school located at 1970 Easton Turnpike, near Lake Ariel, PA Benefits and Perks: Medical, dental, and vision insurance options available Competitive weekly pay structure Employer-matching 401(k) retirement plan for long-term financial planning This role offers the chance to contribute expertise to a rewarding educational setting while supporting the growth and independence of high school students with unique learning needs.
