Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher serving students in grades K-12 within a self-contained, resource, and special day classroom setting. Located in Fort Riley, KS, this contract position runs from January 2026 through June 2026, with a five-day workweek and 30 to 37.5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. Provide specialized instruction and support for students in grades K through 12. Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to ensure students' academic and social progress. Manage a caseload of students requiring various levels of special education services. Maintain accurate records of student progress, accommodations, and behavioral plans. Qualifications: Active State Teaching License in Special Education is required. Experience teaching special education to students in any combination of grade levels K-5, 6-8, or 9-12. Ability to work effectively in self-contained, resource, and special day classroom environments. Strong communication and organizational skills.
