A contractual opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a float nurse in a K-12 school setting located in Independence, Missouri. This role requires strong nursing skills tailored to school health environments, with a focus on supporting the general health room across various school levels. Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care and health services to students from PreK through 12th grade. Manage your own health room after a two-week training period alongside experienced staff. Adapt to a fluctuating schedule that may range from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, depending on the school site. Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records, demonstrating proficiency with technology. Respond flexibly to schedule changes due to field trips or staff absences. Deliver care in accordance with school policies and relevant state nursing guidelines. Desired Qualifications: Current RN license in Missouri with a clean license record (verification required). Recent pediatric experience is preferred, with backgrounds in ICU, ER, or school nursing highly valued. Ability to multitask efficiently and work independently. Comfortable working with a diverse age group, from preschool through high school. Not open to new graduates; candidates must have practical experience. Position Details: Contract length: Current school year, starting as soon as possible until May 28. Full-time, 40 hours per week. One position available.
