Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers a professional opportunity to support a K-12 school community in La Push, WA, as a School Psychologist for the upcoming school year contract from September 1 to June 15. The role involves working five days per week, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with additional meetings scheduled as needed. Responsibilities include managing a fluctuating caseload of students ages PK-22 with a variety of disabilities, excluding communication-only disabilities. The school psychologist will conduct assessments, including approximately 44 to 68 students annually, depending on referral rates. Additionally, the role involves handling transfer reviews and evaluation waivers, collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure thorough psychological input. The position serves a single campus comprising three buildings. Candidate qualifications and desired experience include: Proven experience as a School Psychologist in K-12 educational settings Ability to conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations across a broad age range (PK-22) Experience working with diverse disability categories, excluding communication-only disabilities Strong skills in managing caseloads and collaborating on student transfer reviews and waivers Flexibility to adapt to hybrid work arrangements, while conducting all testing in person This role offers flexibility with the possibility of hybrid work; however, in-person attendance for testing is mandatory. While preference is given to candidates who can be on campus daily, arrangements can be discussed to meet both the school's and psychologists needs. Support students and school staff with expert psychological services in this dynamic and fulfilling role.
