A K-12 school in McAllen, TX, is seeking a part-time School Psychologist for a contract position during the current school year. This temporary role is ideal for professionals with experience supporting students academic, emotional, and behavioral needs through psychological assessments and interventions. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students K-12 to identify learning and behavioral challenges Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and appropriate interventions Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide behavioral support systems Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with district and state guidelines Qualifications: Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Experience conducting assessments and providing counseling services in K-12 educational settings Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and education teams Knowledge of current best practices in school psychology and relevant regulations Location: McAllen, Texas This contract opportunity offers flexibility in scheduling, with part-time hours pending finalization.
