Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in the Baltimore area of Maryland, this opportunity seeks a dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide support to elementary students from PreK through 5th grade. The role spans two schools, with positions at Magnolia Elementary for three days per week and Prospect Mill Elementary for two days per week, totaling 37.5 hours per week. The assignment runs from February 16, 2026, through May 29, 2026, with a possibility of extension into the Extended School Year program for four weeks in July 2026. Responsibilities include: Providing speech therapy support and assisting with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists. Monitoring student progress and documenting therapy sessions in compliance with district standards. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student communication outcomes. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the communication goals for each student. Qualifications and skills desired: Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant. Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in school settings. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to follow established protocols and adapt to individual student needs.
