A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is needed to provide dedicated nursing support at an elementary school in Davis, CA, for a short-term leave coverage assignment. This contract role is full-time and focuses on delivering specialized care to a first-grade student with complex medical needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 nursing care to a first-grade female student Perform suctioning for tracheostomy (trach) management Monitor and respond to seizures promptly and appropriately Administer and care for the students G-tube feeding access Assist the student in accessing the educational curriculum safely Maintain accurate documentation of nursing interventions and observations Collaborate with school staff and family to ensure students well-being and educational progress Qualifications and Experience: Active LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) license in California Proven experience managing tracheostomy care, G-tube feeding, and seizure monitoring Dependability with a strong commitment to punctuality and attendance Ability to work effectively within a school environment Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills Comfortable working independently while following care plans Assignment Details: Location: Elementary School in Davis, CA Duration: Due to cover nurse rotational leave, March 2nd, 2026 to March 6th, 2026 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 1:55 pm, approximately 30.5 hours per week Caseload: One first-grade student requiring specialized nursing care This role is critical to ensuring that the student can safely attend school and participate in educational activities.
