Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students across K-12 in a dynamic school setting in Cambridge, MA. This contract position spans from January 2026 through June 2026, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact on a diverse student caseload in self-contained, resource, and special day classrooms. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored, high-quality instruction and support for students with special needs across grades K-12, including self-contained and resource classrooms. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state standards and student needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth academically, socially, and emotionally. Maintain detailed records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress. Qualifications and Experience: Active state teaching license in Special Education. Experience working with high school students as well as grades K-5 and 6-8 preferred. Proven ability to manage diverse caseloads effectively, including self-contained and special day classrooms. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, families, and support teams. Commitment to fostering student-centered, individualized learning experiences. Position Details: Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts Contract Duration: January 2026 June 2026 Schedule: 5 days per week, 30-37.5 hours weekly Caseload involves students across K-12 with varied learning needs.
