Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A teaching opportunity is available in the Atlanta area for a certified Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing. This position focuses on supporting a high school student requiring ASL II to meet graduation requirements. The role is set for the contract school year, starting mid-March 2026 and concluding in late May 2026. Location: Atlanta, GA (center of the city) Position Details: Contract assignment supporting one high school student Hours per week to be determined, based on student needs Emphasis on delivering specialized instruction in American Sign Language II Active Georgia Department of Education Certification required Qualifications: Certified Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing with valid GA DOE certification Experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, preferably in secondary education Ability to develop and implement individualized instruction plans tailored to student requirements Strong communication and collaboration skills to liaise with school staff and family members Responsibilities: Provide targeted ASL II instruction to meet the student's graduation requirements Monitor and document student progress regularly Coordinate with school personnel and respond to the evolving needs of the student Maintain compliance with all district and state education standards Benefits: This is a contracted role with a competitive pay range commensurate with experience Opportunity to make a significant impact on a student's academic journey Qualified educators passionate about supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students are encouraged to apply to contribute meaningfully to this students educational success.
