Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An Elementary Special Education Teacher position is available for the remainder of the school year at a school in Buford, GA. This contract role offers an opportunity to work in an inclusion setting with a focus on co-teaching, supporting diverse learners in an elementary school environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with special needs in an elementary inclusion classroom. Collaborate with general education teachers to create accessible and effective lesson plans. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary. Engage with parents, staff, and support personnel to ensure a cohesive educational experience. Maintain accurate records and comply with all school policies and procedures. Qualifications and Experience: Active Georgia Special Education General Curriculum certification is required. Experience in inclusion settings, particularly co-teaching models, is preferred. Strong understanding of differentiated instructional strategies for special education students. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to maintaining a positive and supportive classroom environment. Position Details: Location: Buford, GA School Level: Elementary Contract Duration: January 12, 2026 to May 20, 2026 Hours: 37.5 hours per week, onsite only Note: Candidates currently employed in a Georgia school district are not eligible for interviews.
