Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher specializing in early childhood education within an elementary school setting. This contract position is set for the current school year and is based in Hingham, MA. You will work directly with young learners, including kindergarten students, providing tailored instructional support to meet their unique educational needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs. Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive classroom environments. Deliver engaging lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to support growth. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and challenges. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Special Education Teacher certification. Experience teaching at the elementary level, preferably with early childhood and kindergarten students. Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and differentiated instruction techniques. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Location: This position is located in Hingham, MA, within a reputable early childhood school.
