Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time nursing opportunity is available for a licensed RN or LPN to serve as a Classroom Nurse in a K-12 school environment in Cambridge, MA. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, with tentative dates from early September 2025 through November 2026. The role is onsite only, offering a rewarding chance to support student health and well-being in an educational setting. Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care and health services within a school environment Monitor and manage student health concerns, including medication administration and first aid Collaborate with school staff and families to develop individualized health plans Promote health education and foster a safe, healthy learning environment Maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and school policies Desired Qualifications: Active RN or LPN license in Massachusetts is mandatory Experience in school nursing or pediatrics is preferred to address the unique needs of school-aged children Strong communication and organizational skills to work effectively with students, parents, and school personnel Ability to respond quickly and compassionately in medical situations Location: Cambridge, MA Position Type: Contract, full-time Work Setting: Onsite only This position offers a meaningful role in supporting childrens health throughout the school year.
