nSchedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm
nWeekly travel between offices in Mechanicsburg and Lewisberry is required.

nThe salary range for this position is between $18.49-$28.39/hour.

nResponsibilities:

Guides workflow and/or assigns tasks to other clinical staff.
n n - n
Mentors, orients and provides ongoing training to current and new staff members.
n n - n
Send/receive patient medical records in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other state and federal regulations.
n n - n
Coordinate imaging and diagnostic test orders.
n n - n
Verify insurance coverage and patient demographics.
n n - n
Assist with daily clinical operations, including patient intake, rooming and documentation.
n n - n
Clean exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control.
n n - n
Work closely with the surgeon, nurses and office staff to support efficient patient flow.
n n - n
Assist patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc.
n n - n
Collect patient information/history, taking vitals, performing screenings per provider guidelines.
n n - n
Participate in patient communication and follow-up care.
n n - n
Answering calls and providing pertinent information including patient education as directed.
n n - n
Under the direction and supervision of a physician, administer injectable medication.
n n - n
Perform clinic procedures according to policy and procedure.
n n - n
Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e., OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).

Other front office responsibilities, as required.

Medical Assistant, Senior:
n- n
- n
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
n n - n
Successful completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent hospital program (LPN/RN/EMT)
n n - n
OR successful completion of certification examination (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT or NHA)
n n - n
OR at least 1-year prior patient care experience required.
n n - n
Must be responsible and demonstrate proficiency in three practice category specific tasks
n n - n
Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.
n n - n
Prior clinical or research experience is helpful but not required.
n n
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
nCPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
nClearances must be dated within 90 days

Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
