Medical Receptionist Position

We are seeking a professional and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team in Dearborn. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for everyone who enters our facility.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting patients warmly and providing outstanding customer service
  • Managing patient scheduling and coordinating care from initial evaluation to discharge
  • Answering phone calls promptly and professionally
  • Performing data entry and maintaining accurate electronic medical records
  • Verifying and updating patients' personal and financial information
  • Collecting, posting, and depositing patient payments
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes and emails
  • Maintaining a clean and organized reception area
  • Assisting with various administrative tasks as needed
  • Collaborating with medical staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Upholding patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical front office setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
  • Experience with medical software and electronic health records systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
  • Flexible availability to accommodate various shift schedules
  • Team player with a positive attitude
