For questions: hr@morainevalley.edu | 708‑974‑5704 Position Information Job title : Heating and Air Conditioning Instructor (full‑time, tenure‑track faculty) Position type : Faculty Department : Main Campus Duties Teaching duties will consist of instruction in all facets of heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration. The position requires a strong commitment to student‑centered success in the HVACR industry. Duties include various faculty responsibilities, and it is preferred that the candidate serve as program coordinator. Education / Experience • Associates degree or “journeyman status” in a HAC‑related union (HAC pipefitters, HAC sheet metalwork, HAC controls technicians, or HAC building engineers) with a minimum of five (5) years of experience, OR equivalent training and experience in a non‑union environment with a minimum of five (5) years of experience. • 2,000 hours of relevant HVAC work experience required. Qualifications • The ideal candidate will maintain the highest standards for classroom instruction and apply innovative teaching methods to support students at all skill levels. • Will prepare, instruct, and evaluate courses and seek continuous improvement in teaching methodology and student‑centered learning.
