Senior Recruiter
Travis County's Human Resources Management Department is seeking a Senior Recruiter to join their dynamic team.
The Human Resources Management Department works to position Travis County as an employer of choice through balanced, efficient and collaborative strategic partnerships. This role is all about connection, precision, and customer service. You'll serve as the go-to operational partner for recruiters and hiring managers, driving scheduling excellence, workflow optimization, and interview process. You'll set the bar for how we deliver a world-class recruiting experience - where hiring managers feel supported, informed, and able to provide the highest quality candidate experience possible.

Performs advanced level of sourcing and recruiting duties for the Travis County. This position works under direction with increasing latitude for independent judgment.

Duties and responsibilities include managing the full cycle recruiting process, utilizing applicant tracking systems, consulting with hiring managers, developing recruiting metrics, developing a talent pipeline, and performing other tasks to advance the recruiting strategy.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Personnel Management, Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field and five (5) years of experience in sourcing and/or recruiting candidates or related field. Preferred credentials include Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR) or Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
Knowledge of state and local government budget, planning, systems, documents, issues, and trends, ATS and HRIS systems, computer equipment, outstanding communication skills, online or social media sourcing and recruiting techniques, developing sourcing and recruiting policies, metrics, and reports, explaining complicated technical problems in simple non-technical language, establishing effective working relationships, and serving as the organization's subject matter expert on best practices in recruitment strategies are also required.
Work environment includes physical requirements such as lifting/carrying up to 20-50 pounds occasionally, visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment. Subject to standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motion, reaching, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, pushing, pulling, balancing, client/customer contact, squatting to perform the essential functions. Travis County employees play an important role in business continuity. As such, employees can be assigned to business continuity efforts outside of normal job functions.
The negotiating salary range for this role is: $85,000.00 - $91,000.00 Work Hours: 8 am - 5 pm, Monday-Friday. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule based on business need with some mandatory in office scheduling. Location: 700 Lavaca St, Austin, Texas.
