$27.00/hr - $32.00/hr
Summary
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team at North Wind. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for transactional processing, assisting with the preparation of financial reports, administering travel and expense reporting programs, identifying areas for improvement, and making recommendations for process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and post accounts payable invoices & PO vouchers and expense reports, maintain reconciliation reports, and assist with special projects
- Assist with administration of corporate travel, purchasing card and expense reporting programs
- Generate and review payment batches, prepare payment information for upload and approval
- Ensure financial records and master data are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures and process reports for vendors & customers.
- Assist with accurate and timely internal financial reports and support customer specific reporting
- Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to optimize processes and increase efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data
- Provide support to various departments and initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associates degree (Bachelor's degree is preferred) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting, finance, business administration or a related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Due to U.S. State Department restrictions on access to technology, candidates must be U.S. Persons as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
