About This Position
Our Manufacturing Technicians work with the hardware and software that drive the world’s leading distracted‑driving technology solution, assembling, deploying and supporting a range of fixed and mobile platforms that integrate radar and camera hardware with operating systems and communications software. The solutions are currently manufactured at our Sydney facility with plans to shift production to the United States. You will play a crucial role in producing state‑of‑the‑art traffic enforcement systems and transitioning to U.S.‑based manufacturing. You will work closely with the manufacturing lead to maintain efficient processes, optimize product quality, and ensure smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and requirements.
Assemble camera and radar technology into existing fixed and mobile infrastructure.
Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet established standards.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Assist in materials handling and assembly line operations as needed.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
Community College or University qualification or trade in an electronic, electrical or computer related field.
Demonstrated problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Adaptability and willingness to solve problems without having all the information.
At least 5 years of experience in a similar technical role with demonstrated fault‑finding and repair skills.
Proficient in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge.
Experience in a manufacturing facility, including assembly line and materials handling.
Comfortable with remote roadside fieldwork, including working at heights.
Flexibility to travel at short notice on occasion, either regionally, nationally or internationally.
Ability to assess the impact of incoming requests and prioritise them in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
