A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a K-12 public school located in Gretna, LA. This contract opportunity spans the full academic school year, offering hands-on experience working onsite with diverse student populations. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapy to students with speech and language disorders. The caseload consists of supporting students either from PreK through 8th grade (50-60 students) or 4th through 8th grade (approximately 55 students), depending on your preference. You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations. Key qualifications: Valid SLP licensure suitable for school settings Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not required; candidates holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) will be highly considered Experience providing speech-language services in school environments K-12 Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and school staff Eligibility to work onsite full-time and commitment to a full contract school year This role operates Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours weekly, delivering direct therapy services and related documentation.
