SUMMARY
Works cross-functionally and communicates on matters relating to product labeling, compliance and extended producer responsibility (EPR). Drive initiatives to help reduce Ken’s environmental impact, enhance producer and social responsibility contributing to long-term business reputation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute a comprehensive corporate responsibility strategy aligned with business objectives, industry best practices and evolving global standards.
Identify, track and manage key performance indicators related to sustainability and the environment including carbon emissions, energy and water consumption, waste generation and plastic use. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these initiatives and provide recommendations for next steps.
Assist in reducing the company’s environmental footprint including plastic source reduction, waste reduction and long-term supply chain practices.
Prepare and oversee the accurate completion of reporting for various state laws as well as any disclosures necessary through Circular Action Alliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
Working knowledge and interpretation of food labeling regulations for US and International markets.
Provides support to Regulatory Affairs Senior Manager.
Participate in commercialization and data management activities to ensure regulatory compliance of marketed products (i.e. ingredient compliance, labeling, advertising, etc.) in accordance with local regulations, and other applicable legislation, while keeping our products competitive with regards to claims, labeling and advertising.
Support the Regulatory Group in reviewing and improving systems, processes, and tools to enhance effectiveness and efficiencies within the department.
Provides support to Regulatory Group in assessing and keeping track of all state legislation with regards to food additives and packaging compliance.

Education and/or Experience B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, Packaging Engineering or a related field, Masters preferred or prior experience.
Experience Must have 5-7+ years of regulatory affairs of food and preferably packaging experience Experience with FDA labeling and state EPR laws International regulatory experience including ingredient and label compliance is a plus
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations This job prefers Registered Dietitian License (or pending license), but not required.
Compensation The salary for this position is determined by a combination of experience, skills, and education level. The compensation range is $85k-125K annually.
Employment with Ken’s Foods is contingent upon successful completion of a drug test, background screening, and pre-employment assessment.
