THE ORGANIZATION UT Health East Tyler Regional Hospital (424 beds) is the flagship medical center of UT Health East Texas and is affiliated with the University of Texas at Tyler. The medical center is the only Level 1 Trauma Center for the region and is home to leading clinical institutes, centers of excellence, and specialized programs that serve thousands of patients each year. Their medical team includes more than 500 physicians spanning a full range of subspecialties, ensuring comprehensive and expert care across all disciplines. In addition, UT Health Tyler serves as the primary teaching hospital for the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, helping shape the future of healthcare in East Texas and beyond.

THE POSITION The Acute Care Physical Therapist will provide a full range of age-appropriate physical therapy services including assessments, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an inpatient, interdisciplinary teaching environment, consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. The PT will have opportunities for professional growth and training in an acute academic setting with exposure to a broad range of patient conditions. The position reports to the Director Acute Therapy.
