JOB TITLE: AMI Supervisor WAGE/SALARY: $60,000 - $80,000 depending on experience Comprehensive

Hilton Head PSD, a public water, sewer and recycled water utility serving Hilton Head Island, SC, is seeking an AMI Supervisor to plan, manage, direct, and supervise all operations of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: Plans, directs, and oversees the operation of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system. Assumes ultimate responsibility for system management, operations and documentation, administration and maintenance of all items relating to the metering system including coordination with field staff, IT, and metering vendors on any base station or remote reading coverage issues. Establishes key performance indicators for meter accuracy, system performance and compiles, maintains, analyzes and reports results. Makes recommendations regarding meter staffing and contracting as well as coordinating with and supervising any metering contractors. Oversees meter system and daily work order activities and coordinates activities with billing, field services and customer services. Coordinates water outages relating to changeouts with customers and customer service. Ensures all metering work orders are addressed and completed on a timely basis. Performs meter troubleshooting, diagnosis, changeouts, and repairs. Trains field staff on metering software and equipment including best practices for meter troubleshooting, diagnosis, changeouts, and repairs. Schedules, assigns, and supervises meter reading routes and technicians to meet billing schedules, to ensure accuracy of reads, and to determine potential problems. Maintains inventory of all AMI components, tools, supplies; ensures proper maintenance of all system components. Works with metering vendor to ensure all defective meters and warranty issues are appropriately addressed and resolved. Meets with customers and explains District policies and procedures to resolve metering issues and customer leak inquiries. Works with customer service, field services, and billing to investigate, monitor, and resolve meter damage, backflow, water theft and diversion activities. Qualifications: Must have at least 5 years of AMI experience. Supervisory experience is preferred. Competitive Benefits Offered
