Construction Field Administrator
will oversee and support the field execution of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection (MEPF) systems in construction projects. This role ensures that all work aligns with approved designs, specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams to ensure project success.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field or equivalent. • Recent experience in construction and MEP-related field preferred. • Working knowledge of Field Wire (preferred) and Bluebeam. • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD software for Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a plus. • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Office suite to include Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Must be able to lift 60 lbs. • Must be able to climb ladders. • Valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and background check is required. • Travel is required.
Typical Duties
• Coordinate and conduct regular field observations/site visits of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) systems’ construction work to ensure that it aligns with the approved construction drawings and specifications. • Verify that the materials used, and the installation methods employed meet the specified design standards and requirements. • Review the field installation of MEPF design systems to ensure the intent of the project specifications and construction drawings were met. • Examine and adequately understand project scope, project specifications and design intent for MEPF and related construction documents. • Review and process contractors’ submittals. • Review and respond to RFIs with the assistance of the design team, if needed. • Create Field Reports, maintain and file records in a timely manner. • Document all site visits activities and evaluate the progress of a project. • Collaborate with all business lines to ensure compliance with all timelines. • Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
