Phlebotomist - FT Summary : Obtain blood samples by venipuncture and fingerstick. Collect urine samples from outpatients, throat cultures or other specimens. Serve patient needs from all age groups from neonate through geriatric patients. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and fingerstick blood collection and ensure chain of custody for Non-DOT drug screen collections. Use computer system to perform necessary job functions. Perform and assure glucometer proficiency testing is done and turned into lab manager in a timely fashion. Assist with ongoing lab review and improvements and other duties as assigned by lab manager. Minimum Qualifications Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Completed phlebotomy class with certificate. Experience : Prefer 1 year experience as a phlebotomist.
