Accounting Clerk
Perform clerical, accounting entry, and administrative duties in support of the finance and procurement as directed by management and in compliance with government regulations and corporate policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative and clerical functions in support of the Job Corps Finance department
- Assist accountant in the preparation and distribution of student pay and accounting entries into computerized accounting system to ensure accounts reconcile
- Assist accountant in the maintenance of cash disbursement journal, general and cost ledgers, post accounting transactions, prepare reconciliations, and perform financial tabulations
- Assist in the accounts payable process, complete invoice preparation and entry into computerized accounting system to process payments; maintain AP documentation
- Assist with entry into computerized accounting system for deposits and petty cash reimbursement
- Assist with LDA bank balance monitoring and preparation of LDA requests to maintain positive balance in account
- Work towards meeting performance standards and goals
- Adhere to required property control policies and procedures
- Maintain good housekeeping in all areas and comply with safety practices
- Demonstrate and abide by LifeSkills Connections core values and operating principles
- Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), LifeSkills Connections policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures
- Participate in mandated Job Corps Center
