Job Description
We are looking to grow, and we are offering a signing bonus to qualified candidates. Willing to work the overnight shift, 12 am to 9 am. $500 bonus for applicants after 30 days (Terms and Conditions apply see below). Summary : The Overnight Residential DSP is responsible for providing support to adults with developmental disabilities in both home and community settings. The care is compassionate and unrestrictive and strives to help the person being supported with a meaningful life. DSPs will provide support with life skill management, relationships, and provide new experiences and opportunities. Additionally, day‑to‑day tasks such as personal care, cleaning, medication administration, and record keeping are required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct support in accordance with each Individual Support Plan (ISP) and Behavioral Support Plans (BSP).
Provide appropriate levels of supervision and support as indicated in the plan(s).
Offer activities that are individualized and person‑centered.
Provide support on an individualized basis in making choices in achieving life skills, community integration, and participation.
Maintain the health and safety of those assigned and provide safe rides for community engagement.
Support individuals with daily personal tasks, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, preparing meals, and feeding.
Provide support with housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing dishes, completing laundry, and tidying up.
Administer medications.
Complete all required documentation, including electronic documentation.
Complete Event Reports and behavior data according to program requirements.
COMPREHENSIVE PACKAGE FOR FULL‑TIME EMPLOYMENT
Starting Pay at $15 per Hour and up to $20 per hour, depending on experience and certifications.
Competitive compensation.
Health Savings Account – offered.
PTO accrued each pay period.
401(k) – offered.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1 year of experience providing care to individuals with disabilities or a high school diploma/GED – Preferred.
Credentials for CNA, NA, and PCA have to be Active and Certified by the Board of Nursing of Virginia – Preferred.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of developmental disabilities.
Knowledge of Home and Community‑Based Settings.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft products such as Word.
Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision.
Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including bending, stooping, lifting (50 pounds or more), pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for extended periods of time.
SINGING BONUS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All supporting documents submitted (Driving Record, Valid Driver’s License, etc.), including passing the DBHDS background check.
A single payment of $500 will be given after 30 days of employment (to be paid on the first paycheck of the following month after the hiring date, following payroll schedule).
Completion of all Mandatory Training within 30 days of employment.
Attend all Mandatory Training and House Meetings.
If you leave our employment before 6 months, you will reimburse the company “New Point Life Services” half of the bonus – $250.
This signing bonus is taxable; taxes will be withheld.
