About the Role Our client is seeking a
driven and detail-oriented Assistant Controller
to join their dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you’ll partner with the Controller to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and deliver strategic insights that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with annual budgets, variance analysis, and develop financial models
Internal Controls: Strengthen internal control processes
Month-End Close: Support timely and accurate month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
Cost Analysis: Perform cost reviews to identify savings opportunities and improve processes
Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors
Financial Analysis: Deliver actionable insights on performance trends and forecasts to management
Compliance: Ensure adherence to GAAP and company accounting policies; research and resolve complex accounting issues
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing
SOX knowledge is helpful
Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
