Institutional Investment Solutions ("IIS") is a highly specialized global team of seasoned investment professionals within J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Solutions, managing over $50 billion in customized multi‑asset solutions for Family Offices, Endowments, and Defined Contribution Plans. IIS designs, implements, and manages these solutions by leveraging the full breadth of J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management’s investment capabilities, drawing on both in‑house expertise and leading external managers.
We understand institutional investors have distinct goals, risk profiles, and liquidity needs. Our platform is designed to address these priorities and adapt to a changing investment landscape, offering flexible engagement as either a dedicated Outsourced CIO or a strategic partner to in‑house investment teams. Our senior investment team averages over 20 years of experience, with backgrounds in Family Office CIO teams and institutional portfolio management at leading Asset Managers.
As a senior member of the IIS team, the new hire will partner closely with International Private Bank Advisors to deliver IIS’s specialized capabilities to our largest and most sophisticated Family Office clients. They will serve as the primary portfolio manager for multi‑asset solutions delivered to this client base.
Job Responsibilities Delivering Advice and Custom Investment Solutions
Understand each Family Office client’s investment plan, goals, and objectives, and develop and implement a customized tax‑aware investment strategy that aligns with their long‑term vision. Identify opportunities to provide advice and introduce J.P. Morgan’s full suite of investment solutions.
Holistic Asset Allocation and Portfolio Construction
Advise clients on establishing comprehensive asset allocation policies and constructing robust, diversified portfolios. Provide guidance on best practices for investment policy and governance, ensuring clients have the frameworks needed for effective long‑term wealth management.
Execution, Oversight and Client Communication
Execute investment solutions in client accounts in accordance with their strategic plans, managing a range of investment vehicles such as Investment Management accounts, Separately Managed Accounts, Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Private Credit, and Real Estate. Conduct regular investment reviews to validate clients’ objectives and prepare tailored recommendations.
Deliver Investment Insights
Act as a thought leader by sharing J.P. Morgan’s latest investment insights with clients and advisors, organizing and participating in roundtables, speaking at client events, and contributing to educational forums to keep clients informed and engaged with current market perspectives and opportunities.
Deepen Our Engagement with Family Offices
Drive new business and regional growth by engaging advisors, leading client events and campaigns, collaborating on new opportunities, and participating in new business opportunities.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
15 years of investment experience gained within a Family Office Chief Investment Office or through direct work with these clients.
Deep expertise in managing multi‑asset portfolios, with a strong emphasis on alternative investments and tax‑aware investing strategies.
Blend of an Investment Consultant’s advisory perspective and an asset manager’s portfolio management experience.
Excellent at delivering holistic advice, designing complex investment solutions, and communicating effectively with sophisticated clients and internal partners.
Collaborative approach, strong relationship management, and a passion for delivering exceptional client outcomes.
