Location: Midtown Manhattan, NYC (Onsite – 5 days/week) Reason for Hire: Growth Overview
A rapidly growing private credit firm based in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its expanding accounting and finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to gain hands‑on exposure across fund accounting, finance, treasury, and audit within a fast‑growing financial services environment. The Fund Accountant will work closely with the CFO and play a key role in overseeing an outsourced fund administrator while supporting multiple investment vehicles and management companies. The team is lean, collaborative, and highly involved in the company’s growth. Responsibilities
Oversee fund accounting activities across multiple entities and investment vehicles Manage and review work prepared by an outsourced fund administrator (QuickBooks) Support accounting, finance, treasury, and audit functions Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes Monitor and support credit facility requirements, including borrowing bases (weekly/monthly) Support investor reporting and internal financial analysis Work closely with the CFO and accounting team on ad‑hoc projects and process improvements Firm Overview (High‑Level)
Segments include: Title Services Private Company Lending (IPO‑stage companies) Multiple credit facilities in place with additional leverage facilities in development Centralized management company allocating operating expenses across affiliates Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience, private or public (financial services preferred) Strong fund accounting knowledge Advanced Excel skills Experience with QuickBooks is a plus Public accounting background is a plus CPA or CPA candidate preferred Private credit fund and/or borrowing base experience is a plus Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills Self‑starter with a hands‑on, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves mindset This role offers significant exposure, direct mentorship from senior leadership, and the opportunity to grow within a dynamic and expanding financial services platform.
