Position at Laborde Earles Injury Lawyers.
Opportunity Expanding Personal Injury Law Firm seeking a seasoned Litigation Paralegal. Ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast‑paced litigation environment and takes pride in precision and follow‑through.
The successful candidate will maintain detailed electronic case files, manage trial deadlines, coordinate litigation‑related meetings, hearings, and depositions, and ensure the accurate and efficient progression of matters throughout the entire litigation phase. Trial experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
Accountable for providing the best possible customer service to clients and acting as their advocate when working with third parties.
Contact clients at minimum every 20 days to give case updates and check in with client regarding:
How they are doing and if there is anything else we can do to assist them
Status of medical treatment
Litigation appointment reminders (i.e. depositions, court dates, etc.)
Satisfaction with Laborde Earles’ handling of the case
Meet with clients to obtain discovery responses and conduct deposition preparation.
Contact third parties such as medical providers and insurance companies on behalf of the client.
Ensure that all matters assigned are handled quickly, accurately, and thoughtfully from sign up through disbursal.
Follow the Litify Matter Plan for each matter and complete each task timely, accurately, and completely.
Ensure all data is properly and accurately entered into Litify.
Organize, save, and file all matter related documents.
Draft, save, mail, fax, and/or email correspondence and supporting documents.
Assist with the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings.
Assist with discovery, including preparation and completion of written discovery and scheduling of depositions.
Assist with trial preparation, including assembly of exhibits, witness binders, and appendices for depositions and court filings.
Keep track of case expenses, including copy and postage charges, entering into Litify for each client.
Provide support to the handling attorney as requested and as outlined in Litify Tasks.
Respond and complete tasks assigned by the handling attorney promptly.
Complete all Litify Matter Plan tasks promptly.
Desired Outcomes All matters assigned are handled promptly, accurately, and thoughtfully, with timely completion of Litify tasks and a strong focus on client service.

Proficient in data entry and management
Previous experience within legal, medical, or insurance industry
Previous legal assistant or paralegal experience preferred
Strong computer and keyboarding experience
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
