JOB OVERVIEW Overall responsibilities include receiving, distribution, and shipping of products from inventory and WIP to internal customers as well as staging finished products to be packaged and shipped to Robinson’s external customers. The Coordinator implements and evaluates process changes and improvements that affect the handling, shipping, and receiving teams, which includes working with other departments to improve material move methods to both internal and external customers. This position also directs members of the Shared Service Support staff to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures safety is the #1 priority for the team and helps the team identify hazards and reports "Near Misses" to create a safe work environment.

Uses forklift or other powered industrial equipment to move product & equipment.

Communicates and works well with other departments and team members regarding accurate and timely completion of projects.

Demonstrates initiative and willingness to undertake increased responsibility.

Exhibits ability to prioritize and plan work activities, manages time efficiently meeting objectives to complete projects.

Demonstrates teamwork by working well with others, helping, positively providing, and receiving feedback.

Assists management with hiring process and new team member training.

Conducts supplemental "Toolbox Talks" to update members on best practices and continuing expectations.

Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks.

Answers team member questions, helps solve problems, and oversees work ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Encourages company initiatives like safety, 6S manufacturing practices and F.I.F.O.

Ensures physical workspaces are “tour ready” and proper housekeeping is a consistent team standard.

Supports supervisor/manager and performs management duties when they are absent.

Communicates deadlines to team members and supports scheduling changes.

Working leader that helps the team with skill training and development.

Mentors and encourages the team to be the best they can be.

Coordinates the cross training of Material Handlers to ensure a cross-functioning team; influences team to develop additional skills so they continually improve and grow.

Maintains necessary clerical records pertinent to the function.

Ensures product is received into the ERP system efficiently and accurately, including general visual inspections, counting of product, and documenting tasks as needed.

Counts, protects, packages, and processes products for shipments between different Robinson locations, vendors, and final customers while working with vendors and customers to facilitate.

Identifies production priorities and facilitates their success in completing tasks.

Coordinates material moves to and from work centers and ensures material needs are met throughout the facility.

Continuously evaluates material flow practices between work centers and implement changes as needed.

Takes ownership in the development of processes and procedures to increase material flow and on time delivery to internal and external customers.

Works with Project Managers to ensure customers’ expectations are met and exceeded.

Other job duties as assigned per the needs of production.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Experience with Windows‑based computer systems.

Ability to operate a forklift in conjunction with all safety rules and regulations.

Ability to read and comprehend documents such as sales orders, slips, inventory records, and receiving documents.

Ability to write standard documentation and present information to other employees in the organization.

PREFERRED SKILLS

1–3 years' experience.

Experience with an ERP (CSI/Syteline preferred).

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.

Good references, with excellent work attendance and attitude.

Ability to multitask and problem solve.

Strong leadership skills with ability to professionally resolve conflict.

Able to prioritize tasks and responsibilities, deadline oriented.

Strong attention to detail; ability to identify opportunities for improvement.

Highly organized.

Strong 6S background with sound material flow practices, including F.I.F.O.

Mathematical and analytical skills.

Ability to implement, train and operate in a barcode scanning, inventory traceability environment.
