MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT 21 years old

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION State of Nevada Gaming Permit, Valid Driver's License, and D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old). Valid proof of personal vehicle insurance.

JOB SUMMARY The Safety & Compliance Coordinator supports Mesquite Gaming’s commitment to providing a safe, compliant, and health‑conscious environment for team members, guests, and vendors across all properties. This position is responsible for assisting in the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of workplace hazards; supporting regulatory compliance efforts; coordinating safety training; and promoting safe work practices consistent with OSHA, state, federal, and gaming‑industry requirements.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable federal, state and local safety standards relevant to casino, hotel, food & beverage, facilities, and transportation operations. Familiarity with ANSI and ASME standards as they apply to equipment, machinery, and workplace safety. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments. Basic math and record‑keeping skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Monitor and remain current on applicable safety, health, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, DOT (as applicable), and state and local regulations impacting casino and hospitality operations.

Assist in conducting safety inspections, audits, and walkthroughs across Mesquite Gaming properties to identify hazards, document findings, and track corrective actions.

Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of company safety policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with Risk Management, Human Resources, and departmental leadership to support safety training, onboarding requirements, refresher training, and compliance documentation.

Assist with regulatory reporting, record‑keeping, and compliance documentation, including incident tracking, safety logs, and inspection records.

Support departmental leaders by guiding risk prevention strategies related to accidents, injuries, hazardous materials, fire prevention, and unsafe conditions.

Promote a culture of safety awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by management.

Meet compliance and reporting requirements of federal or state regulations.

Formulate and suggest work safety standards and enforce procedures. Risk prevention areas include exposure to hazardous materials, accidents, fires, and other unsafe conditions.

Lead, facilitate, and advise departments in designing risk management programs within their own departments.

Other job‑related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

WORK CONDITIONS Work is conducted in a typical office environment as well as within an active casino and hospitality setting, involving moderate exposure to operational risks. Exposure to second‑hand smoke in designated casino areas. May involve working around machinery, moving equipment, chemicals, and other occupational hazards requiring appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Operations run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; position may require flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
