Project Manager
to be a key resource on a technical services team for our client, the
City of Austin
(COA).
Work Hours and Location 8AM-5PM
Job Location:
Remote within Texas (occasional onsite meetings in Austin with advanced notification)
Job Type:
Temporary Contract
Duration:
Feb - May 2026
Responsibilities Position will temporarily manage one or more projects, including a project to implement a new citywide Technology Selection process and the technology implementation required to support the new process.
Projects may include discovery and requirements gathering, procurement, project reporting, stakeholder management, risk/cost management, delivery/implementation, and post go-live stabilization.
Qualifications Minimum (Required):
Experience implementing a SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions through all project phases
Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and active listening
Excellent stakeholder management skill
MS Project/Project Web
PMP
5 years of:
Experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
4 years of:
Progressive broad-based information systems, system integration and project delivery experience
Experience managing projects in government or public sector industry
