Cyber Exercise Planning and Support Analyst with Security Clearance
Step into a mission-driven role where your work directly strengthens national cyber resilience. As an Exercise Planning & Evaluation Specialist, you will help shape the readiness, responsiveness, and effectiveness of a Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) supporting federal, DoD, and Intelligence Community partners.
What You’ll Do
Lead CSOC participation in all internal and external cyber and business continuity exercises across Federal, DoD, IC Operations Centers, Red/Blue Teams, CTE Teams, and mission partners.
Coordinate and facilitate exercise planning efforts to maximize engagement from all CSOC personnel—government and contractor—day and after‑hours shifts.
Create and execute realistic, scenario‑driven exercises to evaluate tool effectiveness, operational processes, defensive tactics, and team readiness.
Develop and maintain exercise documentation, planning artifacts, evaluation metrics, and execution materials.
Produce detailed After‑Action Reports (AARs) that capture key findings and provide actionable recommendations for operational improvement.
Contribute to the weekly CSOC Status Report with updates on exercise activities and outcomes. \
Collaborate closely with internal and external mission stakeholders to ensure alignment, participation, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph.
6+ years of experience in Information Assurance with demonstrated expertise in exercise planning or cyber readiness activities.
Ability to meet DoDD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01‑M requirements, including IAT Level II and CSSP Auditor certifications (must obtain within six months if not already held).
Willingness to achieve additional security qualifications where required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant technical or cybersecurity field.
