Join us as an Associate Banker at BMO U.S. and deliver exceptional service to our customers and prospects.

You will identify customer needs and provide advice and guidance on financial solutions in the best interests of customers, working collaboratively within the branch and across various channels with BMO partners to achieve our business objectives.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities that grow the customer’s relationship with BMO beyond personal banking.

Welcome and guide customers in the branch lobby, offering advice and guidance on available digital and self‑serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast.

As a lobby leader, conduct client conversations about banking services, recommend alternative channels, and provide personal banking and investment advice.

Meet customer transaction‑based needs with seamless execution.

Review customer profiles and engage in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities for everyday banking plans and credit card needs.

Contribute to meeting branch business results and enhancing the customer experience.

Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, and processing of customer applications.

Act as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and market team.

Probe to understand customers’ personal banking and credit card needs, integrating marketing promotions and programs into conversations.

Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Take initiative to find creative approaches that personalize each customer’s experience.

Look for ways to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the overall customer experience.

Contribute to business results and the overall experience delivered.

Potentially work at multiple branches or through various channels; the schedule may vary week to week in terms of days, hours, and shifts.

Follow risk and compliance processes and policies to safeguard customer assets, maintain privacy, and act in their best interest.

Stay current with the wider financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory environment, and uphold the highest ethical requirements of the industry.

Maintain current knowledge of personal banking products and trends, integrating them into conversations.

Identify and report suspicious patterns of activity related to money laundering.

Comply with legal and regulatory requirements for the jurisdiction.

Protect the bank’s assets in compliance with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.

Complete complex and diverse tasks within given rules and limits.

Analyze issues and determine next steps; escalates as required.

Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

For Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months), as appropriate for the jurisdiction.

Confidence and experience in using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.

Some experience in consultative customer service or sales roles, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.

Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to refer to specialists.

Salary $41,714.00 – $50,500.00 (Salaried). Salary varies based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
