A specialized pharmacy opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist in the Ventura area, offering a contract position with possible transition to permanent employment. This role provides two pathways for engagement: Option 1: Float among three pharmacy locations within the healthcare system, including Medical Center, St. Paula Hospital, and the Infusion Center Pharmacy. Option 2: Focus exclusively on the Infusion Center Pharmacy, with emphasis on oncology medication management. Responsibilities include dispensing and verifying prescriptions, managing medication distribution, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability to different shifts and locations within the system is essential. Schedule: Full-time hours 8-hour and 10-hour shifts depending on assignment Variable shifts including swing shifts Coverage every other weekend and holidays Qualifications and Desired Experience: Licensed Pharmacist with valid credentials PGY1 residency strongly preferred Experience with chemotherapy and oncology medications highly desirable Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy system preferred; training available Preferably local candidates; consideration for travel candidates if local options are unavailable Location: Ventura County, California This contract role spans approximately 3 to 6 months, with the potential to convert to permanent status.
