Utilization Management Nurse (RN)
Actalent is urgently hiring a Utilization Management Nurse (RN) for a contract position based in Brookhaven, GA. This role requires candidates to be located close to the Atlanta, GA area.
Key Responsibilities
Review and approve precertification and medical necessity for designated referrals, procedures, and admissions.
Conduct telephonic reviews for targeted services and procedures.
Perform retrospective emergency department reviews.
Verify eligibility and benefits as needed.
Communicate effectively with care coordinators, case managers, providers, members, and internal teams (claims, benefits, appeals, risk management).
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in utilization management, utilization review, or case management.
RN license in GA or a compatible compact license.
Experience with MCG (Milliman) or InterQual guidelines.
