We are seeking an experienced Project Estimator to support Westinghouse’s mission to provide clean energy solutions. This role is located in Juno Beach, FL, and is a 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2).

Opportunity Overview The Project Estimator Level 1 will prepare and manage cost estimates for multiple projects, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with organizational goals. You will collaborate with various departments to develop comprehensive project estimates that consider all variables. Daily responsibilities include leading and preparing estimates, developing pricing models, and evaluating new technological innovations.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Prepare detailed project cost estimates at conceptual, preliminary, and definitive stages.

Perform conceptual engineering design and preliminary construction planning to support estimating scope quantification.

Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to analyze specifications, drawings, and documentation for accurate estimates.

Conduct value‑engineering analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining quality and requirements.

Maintain estimation tools, databases, and methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans for potential uncertainties.

Present cost estimates and value‑engineering options to senior management, project teams, and clients.

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.

Track project costs and variances throughout the lifecycle, updating estimates as needed.

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in project estimating, focused on conceptual engineering and design.

Experience with utility‑scale energy projects, including renewable energy, power generation, and transmission infrastructure.

Proficiency in value‑engineering principles and practices.

Experience with construction methods, materials, and equipment.

Knowledge of industry standards in project estimating and cost management.

Advanced Excel skills for complex spreadsheets.
