Network Controller/Administrator – Hill AFB, Ogden, UT Leidos has a career opening for a Network Controller/Administrator at Hill Air Force Base, Ogden, UT. The role supports the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) by providing global telecommunications, disaster relief, and humanitarian assistance services.

Job Summary The position supports DISA’s GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services in a 24x7 Global Network Support Center (GNSC) working in Transport, IP, and/or Unified Capabilities (UC) NOC. The primary focus is on network and telecommunications system incident investigation, error documentation, alarm analysis, and configuration of network devices and phone systems.

Primary Responsibilities

Conduct network and telecommunications system incident investigations.

Identify and document network errors and solutions.

Analyze network and telecommunications alarms and identify potential issues.

Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices such as firewalls, cryptographic devices, routers, and switches to optimize performance and ensure desired security posture.

Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain phone systems, voicemail, switches, call manager systems, Video Teleconference (VTC) systems, video recording/viewing/distribution systems, and related telecommunications trunk circuits.

Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices including MSPP, Promina, ATM, and Optical.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma with >3 years of relevant technical experience (additional related experience may substitute for a degree).

Hold DoD‑8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date.

Able to work a shift‑work schedule as this is a 24/7 operation.

Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, or performance management.

Expertise with routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, GVS, Promina, Cisco, MSPP, or optical switching.

General understanding of network topologies for transport and IP.

Currently possess an active Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

Mid‑level Network Administrator experience and a strong troubleshooting mindset.

Sec+ certification.

Secret or Top Secret clearance (Secret can be upgraded to Top Secret during the contract).

Experience in NOC environments (military setting preferred).

Pay and Benefits Pay range: $33.65 – $38.46 per hour.
